Hotel Occupancy Tax Committee (HOT Committee)

The Hotel Occupancy Tax Committee (HOT Committee) will advise the City Council on initiating and administration of the proposed Hotel Occupancy Tax, including aspects of collecting and spending the funds received.  The committee will meet monthly or as needed to provide timely and thorough recommendations to the Council.

The committee consists of 7 members along with the Mayor and the City Manager.  Each Councilmember nominates a member and the Mayor recommends two members.  The City Council then votes on accepting the nominations.

The length of the term of each HOT Committee member is consistent with the term of the Councilmember who nominated the member.

The HOT Committee operates in compliance with the Open Meetings Act.
