The City of Woodcreek holds elections annually in NOVEMBER:
In Odd Years: The Position of Mayor and Two(2) At-Large Council Member positions are vacated.
In Even Years: Three(3) At-Large Council Member positions are vacated.
The City does not hold its own elections. Instead the City enters into a Joint Election Agreement with Hays County to share election costs.
Voting Precinct: The majority of residents in the City vote in Precinct 338. The residents of Tulley Court vote in Precinct 333.

City of Woodcreek Qualifications for Office: Type A, General Law City
Council Member Candidates:
- Be a United States Citizen;
- Be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election;
- Be a registered voter on the City of Woodcreek on the date of the regular filing deadline for a place on the ballot;
- Be a resident of Texas for 1 year prior to filing and a resident of the City of Woodcreek for 6 months prior to filing;
- Have not been determined by a final judgement of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be (A) totally mentally incapacitated; or (B) partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote; AND
- Have not been finally convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities.
Mayoral Candidates:
- Be a United States Citizen;
- Be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election;
- Be a registered voter on the City of Woodcreek on the date of the regular filing deadline for a place on the ballot;
- Be a resident of Woodcreek for 1 year prior to filing;
