Possible Flash Flooding

Dear Citizens of Woodcreek

We have a real good news/bad news scenario in that we're expecting much needed rain over the next few days, but there are chances of flooding that go along with it. As you know, if we do get too much water too fast, the creeks in and around town can rise creating dangerously high water, especially at our low water crossings. Just a few inches of rushing water over a bridge can wash away a car, so "turn around, don't drown."

If we do experience flooding, please stay safe indoors. If you need emergency assistance call 911. The city will continue to monitor county and state emergency communications, and respond as directed. Members of the City Council, Staff and many of your neighbors will also be watching social media channels for citizens' requests for support, and may be able to respond to simple requests. Local radio station KWVH 94.3 FM is also a great source of up-to-date information in cases of emergency.

Please be safe,

Jeff Rasco
Mayor, City of Woodcreek
