Weather Message for Thurs. 6Pm through Sat. noon
This is a message from the National Weather Service and Mayor Rasco,
A strong cold front remains on track to pass through the region from late Thursday morning through the evening hours, bringing the coldest air of the season with it. The combination of chilly temperatures and gusty winds will lead to wind chills near and below zero Friday morning. A Wind Chill Watch has been issued from 6 PM CST Thursday evening through Noon on Friday. While winds will begin to subside by Friday afternoon, the majority of the area will remain near or below freezing through mid-day Saturday. A Hard Freeze Watch has thus been issued from Noon Thursday through Noon Saturday across the north, and from 6 PM Thursday evening through Noon Saturday across the south. No precipitation is expected with this frontal passage.
Remember the "4 P's" - take care of your Pets, Plants, Pipes, and People. We're not expecting precipitation, so nothing like last February, but take care of yourselves and watch out for your neighbors. Be Safe, Woodcreek!
