Resident Tree Care

Tree

The City of Woodcreek recognizes and appreciates our trees.  Trees are a valuable asset to property and also provide many environmental benefits including: shade, habitats, thermo control,  water control, and others.  The proper long-term care of our trees is essential to prolong the life of our trees for our current and future residents.

There is information below to help with the care of many trees in our area.

A permit is required for ALL tree trimming and removals year-round. You can find the permits HERE.

Trimming of ALL species of Oak trees is prohibited from February 1st through June 30th.   There is a fine for trimming trees without the appropriate permit and an additional fine for trimming Oak trees during the months in which it is prohibited.  If there is an instance of imminent danger from a compromised oak tree, please contact City Hall for guidance or special approval.

The City of Woodcreek encourages residents to seek the services of licensed arborists for all tree work; however the trimming or removal of all protected oak trees requires the use of a certified arborist.
