Recognizing Our Neighbors Who Make Woodcreek Great

City News Posted on February 02, 2026

2025 Woodcreek Jingle and Mingle-EmailVolunteers are the heartbeat of Woodcreek, and this month we celebrate the neighbors who give their time, talents, and energy to help our community thrive. Whether you’re a longtime resident or a new arrival, your willingness to serve—on the Planning & Zoning Commission, Trees & Parks Board, Community Relations Committee, or one of the many ad-hoc groups that step up when needed—makes a meaningful difference. It’s this spirit of participation and shared responsibility that keeps Woodcreek both enjoyable to live in and thoughtfully managed.

Recently, Woodcreek has honored several individuals who have made an impact in our community:

  • Becky Denton, Spirit of Woodcreek Award. Given for her hard work on the Augusta Park improvements and serving on the Trees & Parks Board.
  • Russell Scott, Spirit of Woodcreek Award. Given for his contributions in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Woodcreek City Council.
  • Dall & Gerin Hood Day, January 17. Given for their decades of impactful work at the Wimberley Valley Library, including the facility’s recent improvements and expansion.

Please join us in thanking these honorees, as well as the many others who selflessly give their time to Woodcreek. If you’ve ever served Woodcreek, we want to know! Fill out this form to be recognized at the Woodcreek Day at Camp Young Judaea in September. The celebration has been rescheduled from this month.
